Brace yourselves people for this is one of those posts where I`m praising the easy reachable pleasures of life! Yes. Again.
I saw Maleficent the other day (we`ll talk about the subject tomorrow) and yet again, I saw this metaphor – enjoy the simple things, like the beautiful nature. Also, yesterday I`ve read an article about Arianna Huffington and the milestones she encountered in her life.
Got me thinking at my own milestones. Not in the traditional kind of way – entering college, graduated, find a life partner but in a more self-empowering / liberator kind of way.

You see? Ever since I was a kid, I grew up surrounded by…let`s say judgmental people. I went to a high-school where if you were seen riding a bicycle in the morning and you did not have a private driver…let`s say that these things were not meant to put you on the popular list.
.
For years I was a slave to many misconceptions. For years I believed that my happiness lies in a bag or in some clothing item (still love them, don`t get me wrong, but their are not my focus anymore) until one particular day, three years ago. I had recently moved to Bucharest and I was beginning to realize that I left my city to come in a judgmental free one, but ended up in a micro world that is more judgmental and shallow than the worlds I lived in before.

That was the moment when I said fuck-it and decided to live for myself #notaseasyasitseems. My first step was to buy a bicycle like I always dreamt of doing in high-school.
And like in any story about real life – saying it was easy – doing it was… not that easy…And so, my search for the perfect bicycle began…

After a lot of search and bicycles seen, I discovered Bicitalia a few weeks ago and I was delighted to discover that this brand carries vintage like bicycles, like the Fascona donna I am riding today, produced by a cool Italian brand – Vicini, in every color you might love and at really affordable prices. And they have cool baskets to carry our bags in <3 <3 <3

Ohhh, I`ll try to look so poised on the bicycle…but until then, I still have to decide which one to buy. Bicitalia`s staff were very polite and explained to me the difference between many models but I want us to decide together so this Fascona donna is the first one I saw. In the next weeks I`ll show you a few more and we`ll decide together, ok?

Going back to the simple things and learning that the real beauty of life lies in the easy reachable moments and experiences was indeed an important milestone for me and I must say, riding a bicycle is so French and so Catherine Baba #cantwait
