In case you’re wondering, I have a new morning routine. No, ladies, I won’t bore you with that youtube-esque “morning routine”. I mean, who wakes up wearing a flawless application of makeup besides Argentinian soap opera characters? I can’t even be bothered to wear anything else than pyjamas before 11:59 AM. Anyways, back to that thing I’m trying to turn into a habit I was telling you about.
For a few days now, I’ve been walking 30 minutes in nature every morning before starting my day, trying to visualise my goals. It’s a new era thing, the new trend, the spiritual path, the mind-focusing strategy. And it got to me, you know I’m weak like that.
So as you ladies know, I am quite studious. So, while trying to make this walking-in-the-morning thing my new modus operandi, I’ve been reading dozens of articles on the web about the top 5 morning habits of successful women, and let me be the first one to vouch for this selection. These things worked for me, so I decided to put them here, just in case. Who knows, maybe some of them will prove to be as effective for you as they have been to me. After all, a general lack of vitality and trying to fight fatigue have become women’s most widespread problems lately.

Arianna Huffington says that a big part of her morning ritual is about what she does not do:
When I wake up, I don’t start the day by looking at my smartphone. Instead, once I’m awake, I take a minute to breathe deeply, be grateful, and set my intention for the day.
I’ve read this a few years ago, but because of muscle memory and my semi-comatose state of mind when I wake up, I still reach for my phone. I do practice gratefulness and intention in the first 30 minutes of the day, though. I find that it just puts me in a very positive mindset. It’s like giving your brains rose-tinted glasses.

That’s what I do too! It’s either that or a glass of warm water with half a lemon’s juice. I walk to my terrace or my backyard and enjoy 10 minutes of silence. I just give myself some time with me, really. The warm water with lemon juice (or the tea) help my digestion and cleanse my stomach. Or at least that’s what I like to tell myself. Actually it just prevents me from eating like a lunatic.

I check my e-mails, take supplements and apply sunscreen. If you are in your 30s, USE SUNSCREEN NOW and thank me later. As for supplements, I take Rhodiola, to ease the strain of high levels of stress and pollution on my body. I also take Selenium, an assorted cocktail of vitamins for my kidneys and body, Siberian Ginseng and Karoten. These I do not always take, only about once every three months to get a boost. The last ones I used were from Amway because I LOVED the fact that the ingredients came from bio cultures. My favourite sunscreen is from Kiehl’s, I can’t even imagine not using it daily. In my mind I think it keeps me young. #HAHAHAHAHAyeahright It keeps my skin young, not my soul.

I walk to my office / do 25 minutes of exercise. I swear to God, this was the hardest thing to insert into my lifestyle because I love being a lumpy potato comfortably pressed in between the two pillows of a couch. But I’ve been making progress and I’ve been keeping this up for the last few weeks, and ladies, I have news! My ass is starting to look swell again! Walking to the office also helps me clear my mind, but screw that, #assgoals, right?

Sometimes, successful women just forget about mornings and sleep until noon. Because, you know, priorities.
That last tip will be something I’m definitely giving a try tomorrow morning 😀

Primul lucru pe care il fac cand ma trezesc e sa citesc 20 de minute. Nu stiu daca e neaparat un obicei pentru o femeie de succes, dar pe mine ma face sa ma simt minunat, iar fiecare dimineata imi incepe intr-un mod extrem de pozitiv 😀

I’ve switched from coffee to green tea as well and I’ve never felt better. Now I feel very calm and energised instead of pumped up and super agitated, which was how the coffee made me feel.
