It was a late summer afternoon when I decided to take a stroll on some of my favorite streets from my neighbourhood. Adorned in the exact dress you see today, with a flower bouquet in my hand (I often imagine myself a very mild version of La Casati so exchanged the tiger with flowers) took Calea Dorobanti by foot, leaving a trace of Houbigant perfume in the air.
I was a bit extravagant for an evening stroll but you know, when you are living a fantasy this might happen. Children were asking if I was a fairy and some women looked shocked – it was perfect. My late evening stroll was perfect.
And I kept on being the main extravagant factor in my area that evening until I happened to pass right in front of a new boutique opened in the Dorobanti square. And there, right in the middle of this chic boutique, an extremely elegant couple was waltzing. WALTZING.
The music was hypnotic and they looked at each other with such passion in their eyes that the whole scene was mesmerizing. I was among the few people standing outside watching them, but the couple didn`t notice our presence. They were living in their own world, fascinated only by the moment they were experiencing.
I made my way through the people standing outside and got near the window display where the most beautiful pearl jewelry were sitting on velvet cushions, to see the couple more closely. And I saw HER.
She was no ordinary woman. She was the woman whose every single dream comes true.
And that was the moment when a little mock up of Luisa Casati decided to meet a real life hero. With my heart beating fast I put my hand on the door handle and decided to make my way in.
