There`s this little event that I wanted to tell you about for a while now. Remember these pictures Serban and I took at Peles?

That day was extremely cold and windy. I practically froze while taking those pictures. At one point we took a break and I saw a coffee & tea machine. Headed over to it, inserted some cash but noticed that the machine was not giving back change. Waiting in line behind me there were 2 young men. I take my tea and tell them that there is still some cash left in the machine and that they can use it as they wish. They say thank you and I leave.

Serban and I rambled on in the Peles castle courtyard taking pictures for a while until we both decided I froze completely and we should leave. Near the gates of the castle was a poor old singer selling his cd`s for 10 lei. Serban and I pass him and after 5 meters I hear in the background:

`Sir, here are 4 lei, a lady left them in the cash machine and we want to give them to you`

It was for the first time in my life when the law of kindness worked so real and so pragmatic. Not more than 30 minutes before I was giving up my change to the young men, they use my money from the machine but gave theirs to the poor old singer. You really get what you give in this life. Be careful and be kind.

And speaking about that, I saw this letter on Facebook.

It is a letter written by a little boy who wants simple gifts for Christmas and had no one to be Santa Claus for him. So I offered. If you want to be Santa Claus for a child take a look around, kindness is needed maybe even by someone from the building you live in. Maybe it`s someone from your office. Open your heart and open your eyes. Christmas is about being kind and making presents. Make those presents count!  * By this message I announce you dear mother that this Christmas you won`t be getting another bag. I am spending the money on someone who needs them

For me Christmas is a good time to focus more on other people who need joy and help in their life. Because as a holiday I am, as you know, not very fond of it –  I hate the Christmas tree cutting hysteria just for the sake of a tradition and the rest of the sparkly stuff that comes with the package of this holiday.

I advice you to give your presents personally, to be sure they reach their rightful destination. I`ll be really proud of us. Because we are the people of tomorrow. And I believe in us!

You get what you give.
