3 Ways In Which I Plan to Declutter my Home and Why is this Important
When I first heard that I need to declutter my home and relationships to achieve the success I want in business and personal life, I admit, I was a little skeptic. Then I thought about how much I want to chance the way I approach consumption. It’s just too much noise around me…I feel I can’t focus and process information anymore.
If you’ve never thought about it before, it can be confusing to think that the things we keep with us physically and mentally can have an impact on our business lives. But it makes sense, doesn’t it? When we have clutter and unwanted stuff in our lives, there isn’t space for the abundance we are seeking. We want more money, nicer clothes, more delicious food, yet all we have is lots of mediocre, old, unused crap taking up our precious space.
Experts say that clutter is nothing more than just stagnant energy
Every physical object around us produces a corresponding effect, either good or bad. The smallest change in these objects’ arrangements can spell the difference between success and failure. Good energy gets stuck due to clutter.

Ok fine, I’ve never been a hoarder anyway but from time to time, I admit, my house might look like a storage deposit. Not predictable enough, the majority of the stuff is deco related not clothes.
Here are my first but firm steps in decluttering my home and office this year
- I’ll schedule a decluttering weekend or day or hour at every two months – yes, it has to be in my agenda, like a spa appointment. I’ve come to believe is as important.
2. Take the 12-12-12 Challenge – A simple task of locating 12 items to throw away, 12 items to donate, and 12 items to be returned to their proper home can be a really fun and exciting way to quickly organize 36 things in your house. I plan to do this in every room. As in, find 36 items in every room that has to go.
3. Trying to stop the urge to buy it all back when I see an almost empty house – I’ve done this so many times I can’t recall but what Graham Hill said really makes sense: I like material things as much as anyone. I studied product design in school. I’m into gadgets, clothing and all kinds of things. But my experiences show that after a certain point, material objects have a tendency to crowd out the emotional needs they are meant to support.

Am vizitat si eu de curand castelul si e incredibil, designul mi se pare so out of this world 🙂
But they always say messy people are smarter & more creative 🙁
De cateva luni am pus in aplicare strategia asta si sa stii ca functioneaza! Ma simt mult mai bine si linistita de cand nu mai e casa plina
rochia asta are toate culorile mele preferate 😀
You know how they say… cluttered house, cluttered mind. Good luck on your decluttering journey!
loving the colors in these photos :X
