Perfumes have a power of persuasion stronger than words, emotions, appearances or will. The persuasive power of a perfume enters into us like air in our lungs, imbues us totally, there is no remedy for it.

The moment I became familiar with the Signorina perfumes by Salvatore Ferragamo, my thoughts wandered at Malena. The mysterious character from the movie with the same name. Monica Bellucci in the leading role of Malena, the feminine character who will forever remain in history as the perfect image of the mysterious, beautiful and powerful woman who assumes her life story with dignity and pride.
My story today was inspired by Malena, but when I hear the word Signorina, I think of so many beautiful Italian ladies who inspired me through my whole life. Claudia Cardinale, Rita Pavone, Monica Vitti, Ornella Vanoni, Sophia Loren, Raffaella Carra, Rossana Casale, Giovanna Battaglia, Viola Valentino and my latest favorite, Rosella Jardini, a signora in all her glory.
I think Salvatore Ferragamo’s coolest accomplishment is the fact that they managed to induce a state of dreaming, of reverie, all by creating this perfume. For me, Signorina by Salvatore Ferragamo is Italy itself and its powerful and inspiring women. Perfumes are about emotions, about dreams, about mystery, about creating a story around you with nothing but only the most sensual scents.
If I were Malena, I would choose Signorina Misteriosa, but I’m Me, so I’ll choose the first ever and the original Signorina perfume (the pink one with roses and soft spicy notes).

Si eu am o slabiciune pentru parfumurile Signorina, nu am incercat inca Signorina Misteriosa, dar o sa fac acest lucru cu prima ocazie cand voi intra intr-o parfumerie. Fotografiile sunt superbe, iar rochia cu motiv floral un “must”.
